Is there a transferrable skill set from a general construction superintendent compared to a municipal mayor of a 109,000 people town ???
There is a substantial transferable skill set between me as a general construction superintendent and the future mayor of the City of Thunder Bay; of roughly 109,000 plus or minus people.
The two jobs are obviously different, but the underlying management skills overlap strongly.Because some of the citizens of Thunder Bay are wondering about skill my set and are they transferable from a construction superintendent to the city mayor ???, the following explains the sameness as a mayoral candidate: a certified construction superintendent is already responsible for coordinating people, money, schedules, contractors, risks, regulations and competing priorities to deliver a tangible result. A mayor has to do something similar at a civic level.

As a mayoral candidate, with certainty I have the required transferable skill- sets in order to coordinate multiple activities
A large construction project for example will involve architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, workers, owners, consultants and government authorities. I ask you to look at what the job of a superintendent actually is, and compare it, point by point, to the job a mayor is actually supposed to do. When you do, the overlap is bigger than most people expect.
